Effective August 11, 2026

Your hour records are not our dataset.

Hourleaf is designed as a local-first personal ledger. KikuAI does not receive your entries, notes, reports, reminders, backups, or imported files through the app.

Local ledger

Entries live in the app container on your iPhone.

Paired Watch only

Watch entries go to your paired iPhone through Apple frameworks.

No tracking

No account, ads, analytics SDK, or developer backend.

1. Data Hourleaf processes

Hourleaf processes the information you enter: service or credit duration, local date, optional note, creation and modification dates, reminder settings, report snapshots, opening balances, backups, and CSV imports. This information is used only to provide the features you request.

2. Storage and synchronization

The current release stores the ledger locally on the iPhone. It does not use a KikuAI account or KikuAI cloud server. Private iCloud synchronization is not enabled in Hourleaf 1.0.

The WidgetKit extension uses an Apple App Group to read a minimal sidecar containing totals and timer state. It does not receive notes or history. Apple Watch sends a pending entry to the paired iPhone with Watch Connectivity; the iPhone remains the authoritative ledger.

3. Sharing, backup, and import

Hourleaf transfers data only when you choose an action such as sharing report text, exporting a backup or CSV file, selecting a backup to restore, or selecting a CSV file to import. The destination app or storage provider you choose has its own privacy terms. KikuAI does not receive a copy through Hourleaf.

4. Notifications and Shortcuts

Hourleaf schedules local notifications after you enable a reminder. A notification opens the app and never creates an entry automatically. Apple Shortcuts and Siri run through Apple's system surfaces and execute only the action you approve.

5. Data collection and tracking

KikuAI does not collect data from Hourleaf. Hourleaf contains no advertising, cross-app tracking, third-party analytics, or product telemetry. The app does not request access to location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, Health data, or your media library.

6. Deletion and recovery

You can edit or delete individual entries in History. Data Management provides backup and restore tools. Removing Hourleaf from the iPhone removes its local app container according to iOS behavior; keep a verified backup first if you want a recovery copy.

7. Children

Hourleaf is a general productivity tool and is not directed to children. Because the app has no account or developer data collection, KikuAI does not knowingly collect children's personal information through Hourleaf.

8. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated when Hourleaf's data behavior changes. Material changes will be reflected on this page and in the App Store listing where required.
